6 Months and Christmas too!

It is hard to believe that it has been 6 months since my life changing surgery!

For the six month appointment, you get your labs done, see the dietician and the surgeon's nurse.

Labs look very good.

Vitamin D a bit low, who is Wisconsin doesn't have low Vitamin D? They increased my dose to twice a day.

My Glucose level is down from 124mg/dl to 100mg/dl. With my family history of diabetes this is fantastic!

I never had very high Cholesterol, but now actually have low Cholesterol with my HDL being 54, (reference range 40-999 mg/dl) and my LDL 56, (reference range 0-129 mg/dl). My Chol/HDL came in as low (reference range 4.0-6.0) with mine being 2.0.

Iron is on the lower side, by still within range.

Thyroid medication needed to be upped due to major body changes. They want to monitor again in 3 months.

Protein levels look very good!

All of the hard work and rule following is paying off.

As of this appointment, I have lost a total of 90 pounds, and 49.4% of my excess body weight!

The holidays are hard. I had surgery done on my body, not my brain!

I have increased my work out to 3 miles, which takes more time. It makes it harder to have time to do the weights.

I will post some photos of me in my Christmas outfit soon!

Here is one of my favorite new photos of Mia trying to resist the Christmas tree.

(Notice the Greenbay Packer Collar?)
